Mother Knows Everything

Ronan went running to his mother crying, “It’s so unfair. I am ready for this journey, ready to venture into the unknown.”

Brigit listened to him, asking why he thought his father chose to turn around and return home.

As he told the story she knew the answer to the request that had been made of him.

"Maybe the Wondersmith wanted you to play your part as a partner on the adventure. He wanted you to tell him a story, sing a wondrous poem, or play your whistle as you traveled.”

“Why?”

Your father wanted you to shorten the journey by music and storytelling—things that you contribute through your nature, talents that the Wondersmith lacks but admires.”

Ronan understood and accepted what his mother told him. He was now ready.
